Bogota, Colombia
Aug 29th, 2007My first time to South America was great. They say that Colombia isn't very safe for Americans, but I never saw any problems. We were put up in a nice hotel and the arena was nice too. The only bad part of the trip were the bikes we had to ride. I was given a 2003 RM250 that my rear shock wouldn't fit on. Bogota is at an elevation of around 8000ft above sea level so all the bikes ran terrible. On the plus side, the show had a sold out crowd of 12,000 that made you forget about the bikes. They were really into it and loud the entire time. I was the only rider flipping, so I was made the winner and got another cool trophy. I would like to thank Javier Villegas for getting me the show and to Diego Sayas for putting on a good event.
