Mexico X Games
Sep 11th, 2007I was invited to compete in the first Mexico X Games last weekend in Mexico City. The event only consisted of Best Trick and Step Up. There were 10 riders invited for each event and I was doing both. I went there pretty unprepared and threw out my biggest flip whip for a 7th in Best Trick. A few guys dropped out of Step Up because of the dirt and the poor running bikes. That made it easier for me to tie with four other riders for 4th place in my first ever Step Up event. The event was televised on ESPN International, so the rest of the world got to see it, just not us. There was a good crowd at both events, and I hope I get invited back next year.
