Estonia and Germany

Oct 31st, 2007

The day after the Pro Challenge I left for a fun trip to Europe. I flew into Hamburg, Germany and got picked up by Nick Franklin from New Zealand. We then went 9 1/2 hours out of our way by misspelling a city by 1 letter on the GPS. We then got back on track and drove up through Denmark and got on a 45 minute ferry to Sweden. Driving through Sweden we pulled over at 2am in the van to sleep in the parking lot of a hotel about 2 hours from Stockholm. After a cold and miserable night we were in Stockholm waiting for our ferry to Tallinn, Estonia. Because we had some time to kill, I was able to call my friend Flap to come hang out for a couple of hours. We then got on the ferry at 5pm and arrived in Tallinn at 10am the next day. It was now wednesday and the day of the event. Nick and I were both exhausted, but when the show came around we both rode good for the sold out arena. The next day we were back on the ferry at 6pm and got to Stockholm at 10am. We then had to drive down to Lübtheen, Germany for our next event and arrived about 11pm. The show was on Saturday night at a motocross track where I was expecting a small crowd. They then had over 6000 people show up for what turned out to be a great show. I then stayed up until I cought my ride to the airport at 5am to head home. Including the Pro Challenge, I did 3 shows in 10 days with 9 of them including travel. Hopefully I get to do it again next year.
